Timber Square is a visionary project with ambitions to achieve zero carbon emissions essentially a decade ahead of the UK Green Building Council's time target. It takes place in one of the most interesting districts of London, Lavington Street in Bankside, not far from the Tate Modern gallery.
The project with 34,000 m2 of interior space consists of two office buildings, shops and restaurants: the Print Building, which is created by the reconstruction of a former printing house, and the new Ink Building.
The project is designed as a hybrid with a high proportion of recycled materials, or for example with a high proportion of timber. We will be one of the first facade companies to establish the principle and method of fixing an unitised facade to CLT floor slabs in combination with a steel supporting structure.
